Nala

Nala is a 2 year old female Siamese/Tabby Mix. Nala is a very special cat because she was not brought like the other famous pets. She started off in a home that could not take care of her when she was born because there were too many kittens, and was then put in an animal shelter. Animal shelters are terrible places for pets because in many cases pets are not given sufficient amount of care, which can cause these pets to suffer malnutrition, diseases, and eventually die.  Luckily, Nala was adopted from the animal shelter by a friendly owner when she was about 5 months old. 

From then on, Nala was treated with good care from her owner, and Nala's was cured from any disease she got from the shelter. Nala's owner decided to create Nala an instagram to show her friends and family her beautiful cat. After these images were put on instagram, Nala quickly became famous when thousands and thousands of people began following her and liking her pictures. Her instagram reached a massive 700,000 followers making her the third most followed cat instagram, and the most followed individual privately owned cat instagram. (http://instagram.com/nala_cat ) This is not surprising because Nala is a beautiful and adorable cat with beautiful features. Her big blue eyes, long pointed ears, tiger-grey fur and short little arms and legs are what describe her as Nala cat and are also her trademarks. Nala is a very calm cat, and her instagram pictures show us her funny, relaxing life as a cat just playing around at home. 

Since Nala has gained such fame, she has been modeling for animal shelter charity campaigns and has her own Nala cat merchandise sold on her online website. (http://nalacat.com/ ) Nala is my favorite cat because her stare is breath-taking, and she makes me want to pet and carry her all day. Nala's remarkable story of starting from a animal shelter cat to a world-wide famous cat is what really shocks and inspires me, which makes me respect Nala even more.
